Event Description:
As climate change makes our environment less hospitable and more unpredictable, it is our responsibility to design homes & buildings that can respond to the change and stand up to the ever-growing threat it brings with it. An AIA Fellow, who is a nationally established veteran of the green building movement, and an up-and-coming architect, who is part of the next generation of thought leaders, team up to present a holistic approach to designing truly sustainable, yet practical, climate-responsive custom homes. Popular design trends will be integrated with attainable high-performance building strategies through thoughtful “pre-design” project programming strategies, and climate-responsive site & floor planning, to create homes that are healthier, more durable, have superior comfort - and are more resilient.
